Outage Support

PaR Nuclear supports the safe and efficient movement of fuel during plant outages with a large team of qualified field service engineers and technicians who are familiar with all types of Fuel-handling Equipment and Outage-critical Cranes. Additionally, PaR Nuclear’s in-house engineering staff is available at all times during the outage to support our colleagues in the field. PaR Nuclear supports all stages of the outage.

Pre-outage support includes:
  • Equipment Training

  • Preventive Maintenance Training

  • A Spare Parts Review

  • Outage Planning
    • Preparation of work orders for Fuel-handling Equipment (FHE) and Outage-critical Cranes (OCC)
    • Schedule development
    • Identification of necessary resources

  • Equipment checkout
During the outage, PaR Nuclear will assist plant personnel in addressing equipment needs such as:
  • Executing Preventive Maintenance procedures

  • Supporting pre-operational and surveillance procedures

  • Troubleshooting and repair of any equipment issues
PaR Nuclear will complete the outage support by:
  • Providing recommendations for improved equipment performance

  • Submitting a full outage report including information on:
    • Fuel movement time
    • Equipment issues
    • Down time

  • Beginning initial planning for the next outage
Multi-outage contracts and fleet-wide contracts are available.
